Welcome to Stoneham Little League
Stoneham Little League is a chartered District 13 member, of Little League International. Little League International, whose headquarters is in Williamsport Pennsylvania, serves as the parent organization to the local league. Stoneham Little League operates under a federal charter issued by Little League International. In fact, Stoneham Little League operates under the auspices of the highest recognition that may be accorded to any such organization by the Government of the United States. By virtue of legislation approved unanimously by both the House of Representatives and the Senate and signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson on July 16th, 1964, Little League was granted a Congressional Charter of Federal Incorporation. No other Sports organization has been so honored by the federal government.
On the local level, Stoneham Little League is organized and run by the local league, Board of Directors. This twenty member Board, elected annually by the body, serves with the highest level of dedication and volunteerism to the youth of our community. Stoneham Little League is a program geared to provide an outlet of healthful activity and training, under solid leadership, in the atmosphere of wholesome community participation. The program is dedicated to helping children become good and decent citizens.
Stoneham Little League sets in motion the basic life skills and qualities to be nurtured in the youth of tomorrow. It seeks to instill quality values in the youth of our community realizing that, as citizens, these young men and women will some day take their respective places in the world!
