The Stoneham Little League Junior League Division has partnered with Somerville Little League bringing the division to ten teams. The Somerville LL program contacted Stoneham Little League this season as a result of lower numbers in their Junior League Division. The Stoneham Junior League program is thriving and is one of the largest in district 13. The Director of the Stoneham Junior League, Dave Harrington, worked with representatives of Somerville to incorporate their three teams into the league. There are a number of benefits to this partnership. It increases the number of games and the competition level for the league which is comprised of 13-15 year olds. It also allows Stoneham Junior League players to travel to Somerville and play under the lights for some of their games! In addition, it assists Somerville LL by finding a place for their three teams to play.

 

It is truly a win for all involved and we look forward to this upcoming season of combined play!
